We are pleased to announce that our employee, Adam Glos, obtained in this year's edition of the Etiuda 7 competition the financing of the project entitled "Analysis and application of quantum spatial search". Etiuda competition is addressed to young researchers without PhD degree, and its goal is to support the preparation of doctoral dissertation. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Center for Quantum Computer Science, Faculty of Computing, University of Latvia .

Prof. Erol Gelenbe from IITiS PAN was awarded the honour of "Commandeur de l'Ordre National du Merite" by a decree of President Emmanuel Macron that was published in the Journal Officiel on 30th May 2019. He was one of only 2 academics thus recognised this year. The ceremony took place the 3rd July, Prof. Erol Gelenbe was decorated by Ms. Frédérique Vidal, minister of l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation.
 

Dnia 13 czerwca odbyła się na Wydziale Automatyki, Elektroniki i Informatyki publiczna obrona rozprawy doktorskiej naszego pracownika, Pawła Foremskiego. Tematem rozprawy była klasyfikacja ruchu w Internecie. Na wniosek recenzentów przynany został stopień doktora nauk technicznych z wyróżnieniem. Serdecznie gratulujemy!

Miło nam poinformować, iż nasz pracownik, Kamil Książek, pracujący w Zespole Internetu Rzeczy, został laureatem konkursu "Studencki Nobel" w kategorii IT. Serdecznie gratulujemy!

Finalistami w tej samej kategorii byli także: Aleksandra Krawiec (Zespół Kwantowych Systemów Informatyki), Anna Strzoda (Zespół Internetu Rzeczy), Bartosz Grabowski (Zespół Systemów Multimedialnych) oraz Paulina Lewandowska (Zespół Kwantowych Systemów Informatyki).

W dniu 16 maja 2019 roku odbyła się uroczysta inauguracja Szkoły Doktorskiej Instytutów PAN Technologii Informacyjnych i Biomedycznych (TIB PAN). Jej celem będzie kształcenie interdyscyplinarne, w obszarze cyberbezpieczeństwa, sztucznej inteligencji, nowych technologii oraz inżynierii biomedycznej.

ITAI PAS is co-organizing the Conference on Modelling Methods for Computer Systems, Networks and Bioinformatics - ISCIS 2019, which will be held on 14-15 October 2019 , at the Paris Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, 74 Rue Lauriston, 75016 Paris. This conference is part of events that mark the 100th Anniversary of French-Polish Scientific Cooperation. W dniu 24 kwietnia 2019 odbyła się publiczna obrona doktorska naszego pracownika, Michała Romaszewskiego. Na wniosek recenzentów obrona zakończyła się przyznaniem stopnia doktora nauk techniczny z wyróżnieniem. Serdecznie gratulujemy!

The Foundation for Polish Science announced the results of the first TEAM-NET competition. Co-financing for the total amount of nearly PLN 18 million was received by the consortium CFT, IITiS, UJ.

Miło nam poinformować, iż czwórka naszych pracowników: Paulina Lewandowska, Aleksandra Krawiec, Kamil Książek oraz Ryszard Kukulski, zostało wyróżnionych Stypendium Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego za wybitne osiągnięcia w roku akademickim 2018/2019.
