The Institute is co-organizing the International Symposium on the Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (MASCOTS 2023) conference, which will take place on October 16-18, 2023 in Wang Center, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA. Analiza szeregów czasowych jest ważną dziedziną inżynierii danych. W ramach seminarium przedstawiamy metodę statystyczną przeznaczoną do analizy szeregów czasowych, przy założeniu, że szeregi te naśladują jakąś postać złożonego układu fizycznego. W metodzie wykorzystuje się wykres rekurencyjny i wykładnik Hursta. Dotychczas metoda ta była wykorzystywana do danych związanych z dynamiką molekularną i obserwacjami klimatu (temperatury). Dlatego nasza metoda porusza bardzo ważny problem zmian klimatycznych.

On March 3, 2023, the public doctoral defense of Mateusz Żarski took place, who presented his thesis Computer Vision and Transfer Learning in Inspections of Concrete Bridge Structures prepared at under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Marek Salamak. This dissertation was prepared in the discipline of Civil Engineering and Transport at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
