Zespół Modelowania i Oceny Efektywności Systemów Komputerowych

Prace Zespołu dotyczą modelowania i oceny efektywności systemów i sieci komputerowych, w tym Internetu. Rozwijamy analityczne i numeryczne metody rozwiązywania modeli kolejkowych dla sieci komputerowych, jak również tworzymy niezbędne dla tych modeli złożone oprogramowanie narzędziowe. Zespół posiada wieloletnie doświadczenie w tworzeniu modeli wykorzystujących łańcuchy Markowa o bardzo dużej przestrzeni stanów, metodę aproksymacji dyfuzyjnej i aproksymacji płynnej.
Modele opisują topologię sieci, stosowane algorytmy przesyłu i unikania przeciążeń, jak również uwzględniają własności losowe natężenia transmisji (długookresowa autokorelacja, samopodobieństwo). Zespół stosuje też i rozwija modele sieciowe oparte na symulacji zdarzeń dyskretnych.
